Two swans with an aggressive form of bird flu have been found in central Stockholm, one on the island of Skeppsholmen and the other nearby in Nybroviken. In order to prevent the spread of the disease there have been some restrictions taken and the territory where the birds were found is being observed. However, it is said that the case is not likely to become a national problem, especially because there are no domestic animal facilities in Stockholm. However, those who own birds should take some measures in order to protect them. It is also known that the hens at Skansen open air museum are out of risk as they are being held indoors and vaccinated.
