Wednesday February 15. An invaluable painting was stolen mid-afternoon from a museum in central Stockholm, police said. The painting Svartsjukans Natt (Jealousy's Night) belonged to the August Strindberg - one of Sweden's best known novelists, playwrights and one of the fathers of modern theatre, who completed his work in 1893 in Berlin. According to the reports, the painting has an unconfirmed value of 10 million Swedish kronor ($1.5 million). One man removed the painting from the wall while two others distracted staff. After that the three men then ran out of the museum and disappeared, police spokesman Bjorn Engstrom said.
