These days Restaurant Grands Veranda displays a collection of Mette Wide recent paintings that has an abstract theme close to the natural and mild expressionistic manner. The painter creates her works without brushes – she uses only movements that make the diluted paint flow back and forth. The layers are thin and let the nuances of colours show through. The paintings may remind you of the French and American abstract movements from the 50’s and onwards. However, Wide’s works are much more personal and direct. All works are for sale.
