On the water's edge at Nacka Strand, Hotel J has mile wide views over the royal Djurgarden, Lidingo and the boats on Saltsjon. With its own guest harbor for 25 boats, the hotel is only 15 minutes sailing from Stockholm. Inspired by J boats of America's Cup history, the original 1912 brick building has been decorated in a contemporary marine style recalling the boathouses of New England. Architects, Millimeter and designers, R.O.O.M. have used white-painted wooden boards, strong cotton cloths in pure colors and oak furniture to create the look. The lobby is the centerpiece of the hotel where, by the fireside, guests can enjoy the same fine views as from their bedrooms. The hotel's restaurant, Restaurant J, lying on the pier, opened in 1996 and specialises in modern, international seafood. Sailing, fishing and golf are all accessible in the area. The nearby Tornvillan Center has conference and banqueting facilities and the Poseidon fitness center, available to guests. 50 km from Arlanda airport and 20 km from Bromma airport, 10-15 minutes from Stockholm by car or boat. Available at the adjacent Tornvillan Center. Fitness center and sauna close by the hotel.
